JOB DESCRIPTION
Sr. Financial Analyst
As a member of PayPal’s Marketing FP&A team, this position will play a key role in providing financial analysis in support of the Marketing organization. This role will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, month end close, variance analysis, reporting related to marketing program spend, and supporting the business with various Finance related projects.

As a key contributor, the TA Manager will collaborate with client groups and HR teams to develop and deliver effective talent acquisition strategies that align with business objectives, drive superior business results and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the business.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Sr. Financial Analyst
- Assist in monthly reporting, variance analysis (Actual Vs. Forecast Vs. Budget) and ad hoc deep dive analysis relating to marketing expenses.
- Work with business, budget owners and other financial analysts to build business cases and set up processes to manage marketing program funds.
- Assist in process improvements using reporting and planning tools. Process cost center creation and changes, movement of cost center hierarchies.
- Develop an understanding of the business strategic priorities, resource and marketing needs; collaborate with them to execute and improve financial planning and budgeting.
HR
- Source large talent pools and build a pipeline of qualified candidates to build the next generation of PayPal.
- Partner with Recruiter(s) and Hiring Manager(s) to understand hiring requirements and candidate profiles.
- Elevate PayPal’s employer brand and establish a solid LinkedIn presence and social media presence.
- Proactively source from underrepresented backgrounds and generate a diverse pool of candidates.
- Participate in weekly Syncs with Recruiter(s) and Hiring Manager(s) to provide a progress summary. Maintain copious documentation of the candidate lifecycle in CRM & ATS (Eightfold + Workday)
Basic Qualifications:
Sr. Financial Analyst
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Consulting at a highly matrixed company.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or other related fields.
- Strong experience of planning, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and basic accounting concepts.
- Hands on experience in MS-Excel.
HR
- Five plus years of sourcing and talent mapping with a global internet company, eCommerce, or financial services environment, with a strong preference for experience in engineering roles.
- You’ll be a data-driven Talent Sourcer, naturally attuned to metrics like response and pass-through rates, source of hire, time-to-offer-acceptance and candidate experience to deliver top talent.
- You can communicate your competing priorities while ensuring professional tact and diplomacy.
