JOB DESCRIPTION
Business Program Manager
Support the projects in Research and Development Organization in Health and Life Sciences Platform Team. The technical program manager will suppor all projects handled by the Data Services team, including tracking of projects at various stages, projects handled by External Resources (Suppliers) to include keeping track of PO deliverables, ID management, compliance tracking, etc.., and raise any red flags in timely manner and help achieving the business goals.
Customer Experience
As an Infrastructure Customer Engineer in Azure Customer Experience (CXP) Growth & Innovation, you will directly engage with Software companies & Start-ups to translate their business requirements into secure, scalable and reliable data solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
Software Engineer
The team works on distributed systems scaling to Exabyte of storage in data centers around the world. Azure Storage provides the persistent storage layer in the cloud, powering millions of Azure virtual machines, holding millions of hours of video, billions of photos and petabytes of other data types.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Business Program Manager
- Maintains supplier governance for outsourced work on behalf of Microsoft. Executes standardization of supplier processes. Monitors and analyzes supplier performance, controls, and metrics.
- Designs the process and defines business outcomes for simple processes/parts of a process to assess process performance by conducting research and investigations.
- Executes the process in accordance with compliance and controls. Facilitates end-to-end process view by providing data, research, and assessment results to manager and team.
- Monitors and evaluates processes, including running and measuring metrics to ensure the process is performing as expected.
- Incorporates process methodologies to suggest process-level process improvements, including optimizing,
maintaining, and transforming current processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. - Facilitates process-level change management efforts, using working understanding of the business (e.g., readiness, timing, impact on stakeholders, data, tools, systems, policy).
Customer Experience
- Conduct architectural design sessions and reviews to advise start-ups on Infrastructure strategies and architectural best practices.
- Drive early adoption of new Azure services and open source technologies.
- Help customers and partners stay current with best practices by sharing content via multiple forums. Identify content improvement or troubleshooting guides.
- Interact daily with other Microsoft engineers to provide technical action plans and take ownership of escalations. Partner with various Azure engineering domain experts to scope and build modules, tools and proof of concepts.
- Collaborate with the relevant product and business groups on how customers use the product. Understands and identifies gaps in customer scenarios and product limitations. Provides details to the product and business groups on customer product experience and usage.
Software Engineer
- Conduct in-depth performance analysis of Azure Storage Services components, including Blob Storage, File Storage, Queue Storage, and Table Storage.
- Develop and execute comprehensive performance testing strategies to evaluate the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of Azure Storage Services. Design and implement automated testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies to simulate real-world scenarios and validate system performance.
- Utilize profiling tools and performance monitoring techniques to diagnose performance issues, analyze system behavior, and fine-tune system parameters for optimal performance. Collaborate with software engineers to implement performance enhancements and refactor code for improved efficiency.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Business Program Manager
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations, Finance management or related field AND 2+ years work experience in project management, process management, process improvement
- Equivalent experience.
Customer Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 4+ years experience in software industry experience related to technology OR equivalent experience.
Software Enginee
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with Computer Science and engineering fundamentals and ability/interest in learning new technologies AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
