JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Specialist – Lease Accounting

The Lease Accounting Specialist will support the Market and Enterprise Finance teams by providing comprehensive lease accounting services for our expense and income portfolio. This includes managing lease-related financial operations, generating and reviewing reports, and maintaining financial records. The role will also oversee financial reconciliations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and monitor lease accounts to support the organization’s operational goals. 

 

HR Business Partner Support

This role will focus on supporting the people strategies and workforce management at the McDonald’s in India location. The Site People Support Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the execution of employee engagement activities, supporting talent management initiatives, and driving a culture of inclusion and diversity.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

Specialist – Lease Accounting 

  • Support design and management of expense reports/dashboards and ensure lease expenses are regularly updated in the system.
  • Support development and maintenance of analytical tools & capabilities to enable insight generation. Monitor, track, and update lease expenses in TRIRIGA.
  • Oversee or conduct analysis & reconciliation accounts, updating and reviewing journal entries.
  • Conduct approvals, reviews, and respond to variances for income receipts and expense payments.
  • Perform reconciliation of franchise revenue as well as GL close reconciliation
  • Execute transactional activities pertaining to scheduling, approving, and processing real estate payments. May oversee 6 direct reports as needed

 

HR Business Partner Support

  • Support the execution of McDonald’s in India’s strategic people plans, ensuring employees are positioned to deliver results.
  • Assist with diagnosing talent needs, understanding business strategy/functional priorities, and supporting talent strategies to enable success.
  • Provide support to the People Partners overseeing the McDonald’s in India and assist in HR functions supporting the capability centers.
  • Offer day-to-day coaching and consultation to employees and managers regarding people-related opportunities and challenges.
  • Assist functional leaders with organizational decisions (e.g., staffing, development, employee relations) to ensure alignment with people strategies.
  • Identify gaps between business needs and people systems/capabilities within the function and provide support for appropriate actions.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

Specialist – Lease Accounting 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in lease accounting, financial reporting, and managing financial operations.
  • Strong skills in Relationship Management, Business Partnership, Process Governance, and Policy Definition. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey financial information across all levels of the organization.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and support to the Market Finance teams.
  • Knowledge of global accounting practices, especially in managing lease accounts, and proficiency with financial systems like TRIRIGA.
  • Experience in identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing minor changes within a well-defined job area.

 

HR Business Partner Support

  • 3-5 years of experience in HR roles such as HR Generalist, Employee Relations, or Talent Management, preferably in a site support or people operations capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting a geographically dispersed workforce and familiarity with the unique challenges of a capability center environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels and respond effectively to inquiries.
  • High proficiency in Excel and the ability to work with HR data to inform decision-making and drive adoption of people programs.
