JOB DESCRIPTION
BDO India LLP is the India member firm of BDO International. We are led by more than 300 Partners & Directors with a team of over 8500 professionals operating across 13 cities – Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Goa, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida, Gurugram and Pune.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assisting inspection of engagements (Cold reviews, Hot reviews), co-ordinating with engagement teams for the same, assisting in rating review comments, grading the files reviewed, performing root cause analysis, assisting in preparing the report for reporting to leadership, planning for trainings basis review findings etc.
- ISQM implementation Assisting in drafting policies and procedures, co-ordinating with other service lines, assisting in performing gap analysis in existing polices as per ISQM and drafting updated polices, assisting in performing risk assessment at firm level, testing operating effectiveness of SOQM on periodic basis, carrying our surveys, collating information and assisting in preparing the report for reporting to leadership on compliance with quality standards etc.
- Must have an excellent knowledge of Indian GAAP with working knowledge of differences from Indian GAAP to Ind AS.
- Must be able to apply relevant accounting standards, independently execute Ind AS engagements while also researching into complex technical accounting issues.
- Should demonstrate knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and keep up to date with new pronouncements relating to Ind AS.
- Monitoring engagement budget with sufficient guidance from the Engagement Manager
