JOB DESCRIPTION
Associate – Corporate Finance CoE
Corporate Finance teams are part of ‘Corporate Finance and Strategy CoE (CF& CF&S work as innovation partners for Bain’s Global strategy practice to enable cutting edge Intellectual property. The team conducts financial diagnostics for client companies, codifies Bain’s intellectual property and contributes to new intellectual property We work with case teams across geographies and industries however, they focus almost exclusively on Corporate Finance related projects.
Senior Specialist, HR Operations
This role involves managing HR operations, with a primary focus on performance development (PD) operations for consulting teams. In this role, the individual will be instrumental in running performance review processes and enhancing operational efficiency.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Associate – Corporate Finance CoE
- Corporate Finance Associates are responsible for executing and at times driving the team’s overall answer, final materials, client communication, work planning, and team management on capital markets/corporate finance related projects.
- Corporate Finance Associates are expected to produce high quality, client-ready research and analysis, understanding implications and generating strong business insights
- Communicate data, knowledge, and insight to the entire team. Generate and screen realistic solutions based on sound reality checks and recommend actionable solutions
- Effectively structure communication of insights from own workstream. Deliver clear and professional presentations to the team/team leaders/managers
Senior Specialist, HR Operations
- Manage employee records in the HR systems and other PD related trackers/ MIS and maintaining HR dashboards
- Analyze HR processes to identify opportunities for process optimization and implement automation solutions. Creation of HR policies, manuals, and process documents
- Manage the payroll inputs for consulting staff (comp changes, bonus inputs, exit inputs etc.) and liaising with Finance team to ensure closures
- Collate case feedback, preparing individual snapshots for ratings meetings, pressure test ratings with case leadership & present insights in the ratings meetings.
- Independently and accurately, update and track people movements in grade level, compensation levels using HR systems to ensure zero-defect in employee’s profile
Basic Qualifications:
Associate – Corporate Finance CoE
- Candidates should be graduates/post graduates with specialization in finance with strong academic records
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, ratio analysis and underlying valuation principals, ability to connect financial performance to valuations with a flair for numbers and fair knowledge of equity markets to generate compelling insights and equity story with a focus on ‘so what’
- Cross link different business models and multiple industries key dynamics, using key drivers/KPIs behind operational and financial performance
- Candidates should possess excellent analytical, communication, and team player skills ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
Senior Specialist, HR Operations
- Post-graduate in Psychology or HR
- 7-8 years of work experience with relevant experience in HR operations
- We would prefer candidates with experience in Tableau and exposure to Performance management related roles in consulting firms
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
