JOB DESCRIPTION
Software Development Engineer
Apple’s IS&T team is looking for a passionate Software Quality Engineer to contribute to design, analysis and certification of our applications. We are looking for someone who is equally passionate about quality and using lightweight processes to consistently achieve it. The role would also involve interacting with multi-functional engineering and product teams to test features, perform root cause analysis, and drive the quality of customer’s experience.

Roles and Responsibilities
Software Development Engineer
In this role, you will be involved in quality engineering for critical customer facing applications , work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be directly responsible for:
- The quality of Apple’s products, including consistent functionality, performance, and stability.
- Understanding new and existing feature implementations in order to craft informed, robust testing charters.
- Authoring test scenarios, scripts, and plans.
- Executing functional, performance, and stability testing.
- Write and review automation test scripts.
Creative
As a Creative, your main role at the Apple Store is that of instructor, whether guiding small groups to learn or helping individuals. You use your presentation skills to act as a facilitator, helping users get set up, get trained and get going. But you’re also an excellent listener, taking the time to understand what each user hopes to achieve or learn. By adjusting your teaching style to each user’s individual skill level, you maximise their understanding and your own time. You recognise that purchasing a new product can sometimes help customers attain their goals. You spend much of your time leading scheduled sessions, but you’re still comfortable interacting with store customers between those sessions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Software Development Engineer
- 1 to 8 years experience in software quality assurance testing.
- Good knowledge of automation framework architecture, design and development
- Strong hands-on engineering Experience working with Java, Python, Swift or any other OO languages
- Expertise in QE processes, tools and metrics
- Experience in testing API/Web Service, Web and iOS native applications. Hands-on experience on Core Java, Karate, RestAssured, Playwright/Selenium, Appium/XCUI
Creative
- Passion for education and ability to instruct by letting users learn by doing.
- Ability to teach small groups and multiple customers simultaneously.
- Tenacity to work with users to help them get the most out of their devices.
- Contribute to an inclusive environment through respecting each others’ differences and having the curiosity to learn.
- Demonstrate Apple’s values of inclusion and diversity in daily activities.
