Administrative Business Partner
As an Administrative Business Partner, you’re at the heart of your team’s business operations and activities and the soul that keeps your team moving forward. You anticipate the needs of your managers and team members and help them stay focused on their projects by resolving operational and administrative issues before they arise. You move quickly with the changing environment and are up to date with the latest Google products and services. You also use that knowledge to strategically support your team’s projects. In addition to being organized and analytical, you possess the strong business judgment and communication skills needed to interact with a variety of people and job functions.’
Software Engineer, Core
As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Administrative Business Partner
- Execute on administrative tasks with minimal supervision (e.g., calendar management, travel scheduling, exec expense management, event and budget management).
- Establish trust and partnership with cross-functional teams and senior executives of the organization you are supporting. Use your judgment and discretion to make decisions with minimal guidance.
- Participate and occasionally be part of the organizing committee for administrative community activities within the organization or office site.
- Exhibit highest standards for maintaining confidentiality, and develop a clear understanding of internal systems and policies.
Software Engineer, Core
- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Administrative Business Partne
- 2 years of experience in administrative roles in a high-tech or international environment working on core administrative tasks (e.g., travel management, expense reports, calendar management, facilities coordination, etc.).
- 1 year of experience working in direct executive support
Software Engineer, Core
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
